spotter and round
Comments about La Corneille Miniature Brushes:
I bought some spotters and rounds 18/0. The spotters don't hold much paint but the shorter hairs give a bit more control although, will likely loose their point more quickly than a longer hair. Rounds are fine for hatching and other small jobs. I do not like these brushes as much as the Princeton miniatures. For one, the red stripe is too bright and, if you are working with subtle tones, can make the small contrasts hard to see. I sanded it down and rubbed on a coat of raw umber which did a good job of neutralising it. Conclusion: Workable alternative to pricier options.

Just the right size!
from River Forest, IL
I do watercolor painting and have been frustrated in trying to do texture with the usual size fan brush. The effect is correct but the size always messes things up. That is until I used these mini fan brushes. They are PERFECT for flower petals, stems, small areas of fur, small spots on wood etc. I felt so fortunate to have found them and they are now a permanent brush in my collection.

I use these mini brushes to create my tangled art on gourds. They are durable and comfortable to use. Clean up easy.

I have been building 1/48 and 1/32 scale aircraft models for most of my life. Right now I am building some WW1 aircraft and some of the paint work requires the smallest of brushes. I have used these brushes before but am having trouble getting them locally, here in Canada. You guys were really good. My order was only a small one but your service was excellent. In fact I just received them today...thank you for looking after me so well.

These brushes add details with better control than the larger fan brushes, good "leaf effect". The bristles seem to be of high quality.

The ferrel is crooked, you have to find the sweet spot so that it won't roll on you

Miniature purpose brushes were necessary for my detail painting, and once again, Dick Blick had exactly what I was searching for.
