Not the Best, But Good

Comments about Koh-I-Noor Mondeluz Aquarelles Watercolor Pencils:
For the price, you can't go wrong. However, it's difficult to move the color around on the paper, especially if it has a lot of tooth. I tried it on cardstock with a damp brush, on mixed media paper with a wetter brush, and on linen paper with a very wet brush. Some of the color remains behind in the tooth, leaving a "speckled" appearance. I'd recommend making your own color palette with these (color heavily on a separate piece of paper, then using a damp/wet brush to pick up the color and apply it to your work). This seemed to be the best option for this particular pencil. The color selection is very, very nice for a 24-set. There are enough colors to create just about anything if you mix them using the palette method I mentioned above. I had a lot of fun using them, but if my budget was a bit larger, I'd probably stick with something else - Albrecht Durer, for example.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Decent Watercolor Pencils
By The Perpetual Novice
I'm just starting to get into watercolor pencils, so I've only tried a couple brands, but these seem pretty decent. Probably not as pigmented or as smooth as the more expensive brands, but still good for what I wanted them for. I used them to color in a line drawing and went back over the color with water; they seem to blend really well. They're not as intense as something like Derwent Inktense, but that's comparing apples to oranges anyway, and they're still really nice pencils to work with for someone like me. If you're just starting to learn the medium and don't want to spend the money on a fancier brand just yet, definitely consider these. In the 24-set, you get a good range of colors too, heaviest on blues and greens but with a nice spectrum of other colors as well. I look forward to using these more and having some fun with learning a new medium!

need to work with them more.
They are soft, work well, blend out well. I draw cartoons mainly. Black and white graphite, is what I work best with, but wanted to try and re learn how to paint. Thought these might be a good start. Need to play with them more, don't know if they mix well. Wish there was more of a flesh tone in the larger 24 pencil kit. I went to college for illustration, was once a painter, but fell off of for a long time, FORGOT HOW TO PAINT!! SO SAD!!:((

FUN! And very good quality pencil paints
By Texas 2 Step

These pencils are such fun to use and they have made my water coloring experience so much better. Instead of sketching out things with a standard pencil I use these and pencil lines disappear plus they're just really good quality paint once you brush them wet and drag the color - I am impressed and have given two sets of these to friends who also now love them.

Great product and reasonable price
By Darriel F.
After going through reviews of multiple similar products like Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer, Derwent and Prismacolor, I decided to get Koh-I-Noor as it is the most affordable brand for a person new to watercolor pencils and has very good reviews. The pencils have a sturdy built and the color is very vibrant. I bought the 24-color set and it came in a metal case and it is a very nice set of colors. I highly recommend this product.

Great Pencils, Great Price
from Fort Worth, TX
I haven't seen many reviews on these. I am not a great colorist using other mediums, but I really enjoy using these pencils. The pigment applies evenly and can be smoothed and gradated using a simple water-based blender marker. If you are wondering what to try and happen to be a heavy-handed graphite or pen sketch artist, then I would recommend giving watercolor pencils a try first before sinking money into other mediums.

I wanted a small set to take camping for small paintings and these turned out perfect. I was very happy with the vivid colors.
