Isabey Isacryl Synthetic is the finest handmade synthetic brush available. A special mix of thick, synthetic fibers replicates the finest natural hair with the durability of a synthetic so it keeps its tight shape longer than any other synthetic.
Isabey Isacryl brushes are ideal for oil paint and heavy body acrylics. They have an incredible feel and spring for unparalleled precision and control. Finely tapered hairs interlock, keeping a perfectly sharp point and edge resisting splaying when used with solvents.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

I have brushes from Isabey, da Vinci, and Windsor and Newton. I do not like these brushes. If they were cheaper--I'd be fine with them. I suppose my expectations were too high. For example, I thought they were made in France. They are made in Mauritius. Secondly, when moist with paint, the bristles splay and stay that way. These brushes are fine for under paintings, but not details or final products. I will not be buying these again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO BUY THESE BRUSHES?
By LARGO ARTIST
from KEY LARGO, FL
THESE BRUSHES HOLD PLENTY OF PAINT. THE PAINT GLIDES OFF CREAMY AND SMOOTHLY. A REAL DIFFERENCE COMPARED TO CHEAPER BRUSHES. A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT SOOOO WORTH IT AND I MEAN THAT. A GREAT FIND FINALLY !
Best brushes EVER
Comments about Isabey Isacryl Filbert:
Isabey paint brushes are amazing. They have completely changed my paintings. Each brush stroke is exactly as I want it to appear. Amazing. They are expensive, but in this case, getting what you pay for definitely applies. I watch for sales, and coupons as the price is my only hesitation in my recommendation. I doubt I will ever try another brand of brushes. Found my forever brand.
High Quality Brushes

Comments about Isabey Isacryl Round Brushes Series 6512:
These brushes are very resilient without being too stiff. I use them for oil and acrylic paints, and have had no problems when using solvents. Construction is very good and only occasionally do I find one with a slightly out-of-line ferrule, although the ferrules are tight. For my use, there is just the right amount of bristles for the brush size. The degree of springiness works well for lighter paint, especially when working wet-in-wet. These are some of my favorite brushes, and I will continue to purchase them.
The best brushes I have ever had
from Victoria, Canada
The best thing about this brushes is that they keep shape after many uses. It was my problem with the other syntetic brushes I have, not these ones. I use them with oil paint and can say that they are stiff enough for thick paint and soft enough for tiny lines etc. I just love them.

Top Grade Acrylic Brushes
from Klickitat, WA
I have several Isabey Isacryl brushes in different sizes and shapes. Initially intended for dragging wet-on-wet oils, I find the bristles to be stiffer and more resilient than Mongoose which, (as I understand), it was designed to replace. In spite of this, these brushes are definitely softer than hog, and are very responsive. The quality/construction is unsurpassed by any other brushes of this type I've used. Beautiful ferrules, tight symmetrical bristles, and practical handles that are carefully finished make it easy to recommend these brushes to artists with any level of expertise. I will continue to add to my stock as well.
Just the great brush I have finally been looking for !!
from Ambergris Caye Belize / Gulf Coast of MS
I really do like these brushes....so much that I hvae purchased 8 more larger ones. They are expensive, but well worth the price. They hold their shape really well and have good spring to them even though they are a stiff brush. I have only used them with acrylic paints, so don't know how they would be with oil or could use them with oil. These brushes are my standard now after going through many, many different namebrand quality brushes. I highly recommend them!
