Comments about Higgins Drawing Inks:
Bought three colors to try airbrushing ink on cardstock. Worked great, thinned it 3:1 alcohol to ink and got nice translucent coverage.

Beautiful and bright ink! I used this during Inktober both alone and with other inks and it worked wonderfully.

Students love to be able to use the ink in their sketchbooks for an option to color in their sketchbook drawing assignments.

Color is always consistent, inks last for years in bottle - don't dry up.

At first I got a black jar at a local arts and crafts store and it was much more than it was at blick. I also found that I use the blue ink MUCH more than the black one and it dilutes very easily into beautiful shades. I usually use it with a brush and use it in a combination of pens and watercolors.this ink is wonderful, the only thing I don't really love is the dropper, it's plastic and hard to get the ink out of but it doesn't really matter.
Used these for years

I have used Higgins inks for over seventeen years. I was introduced to them by a professional airbrush artist who used this particular brand of ink for his work. These inks have always been true to their colors and have never let me down whether I am airbrushing or using a crow quill.
Enjoying all 9 colors!

I am enjoying my Higgins fade proof permanent inks. I use the inks with a brush and dip pens on watercolor paper or illustration broad. I am having a lot of fun with all 9 colors, by far one of my favorite mediums. I add water to them to get lighter tones and I can even put a wash over a finish dried piece and the ink beneath does not run. Love it! Don't confuse these with the Higgins Waterproof student grade ones the color shifts when diluted with water and they are't fade proof or permanent.
