Other uses of the Fuseworks Craft Kiln include: - Adding dimension to your fusing. Ceramic slumping molds allow users to shape the glass by bending (slumping or draping) over a form to make unique art, dishes, and more. Use 1/2" kiln posts to elevate the mold to allow air to flow above and below. Work in short intervals to prevent cracks due to rapid heat. Start at five minutes, wait 30 seconds, repeat twice, and proceed to 10 minutes or until the piece is fully slumped. - Glass Casting. Create jewelry with substance with ceramic casting molds. Simply coat, fill with frit and small glass bits, then fire for perfectly formed shapes. Use 1/2" kiln posts to elevate the casting mold to allow air to flow above and below. Work in short intervals to prevent cracks due to rapid heat. Start at five minutes, wait 30 seconds, repeat twice, and proceed to 10 minutes or until the piece is fully fused. - Metal Enameling. Add incredible color to copper shapes. This fast, fun, and ancient art form uses powdered enamels applied to a copper metal base to make glossy, gorgeous jewelry and dishes. It only takes 5–7 minutes to achieve a glossy enameled copper piece. - Glazed Ceramics. Fire low fire glazes to make unique home décor pieces, dishes, tiles, and more. Apply underglaze and a clear glaze top coat to bisque tiles, dinnerware, drinkware, and décor pieces. This type of firing takes approximately 25 minutes. Simply turn the dial on the Craft Kiln to 15 minutes and add an additional 15 minutes after the first 15 minutes run out. - Silver Metal Clay. Create authentic silver jewelry pieces with silver metal clay by molding the clay piece, placing it onto a small kiln shelf, and firing it for approximately 15 minutes.
