This great basic set contains several types of charcoal, including compressed charcoal crayons that are produced from a fine mixture of soot and charcoal. 
  Also included are natural charcoal sticks made by carbonizing  resin-free  twigs under exclusion of air. These can be used to produce uniform deep black lines, and can be easily wiped and corrected. The set also contains a gray, kneaded eraser.

The sticks glide softly across the paper, rub and smudge easily, and can be wiped, erased, and corrected with a minimum of difficulty. Use them to make uniform, deep black lines in your sketches.   Stick size may vary due to the origin of charcoal sticks that are made from natural willow branches rather than being machine-made. The 3–6&nbsp;mm sticks measure approximately  1/8&quot;Dia &times; 5-1/8&quot; long . The 5–8&nbsp;mm sticks measure approximately  1/5&quot;Dia &times; 5-1/8&quot; long . The 6–11&nbsp;mm sticks measure approximately  1/4&quot; &times; 5-1/8&quot; long .
