The fine haired Escoda Optimo Kolinsky sable forms a soft brush head, which is great for delicate, controlled work. Escoda cures the brush hair resulting in remarkable spring and resilience.
The long, lacquered blue wood handle offers superb control. It's attached to the nickel-plated brass ferrule via Escodas exclusive triple crimping process.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

Kolinsky brushes are incredibly resilient
Comments about Escoda Optimo Kolinsky Sable Bright Long Handle Series 2913:
Kolinsky sable brushes are the best in their class. I use them for oil painting and find them resilient, keeping their shape and bounce right back to a fine point. I highly recommend them for oil painting.

If I Could Only Have One Brush
By Nancy G
from Gilroy, California
I literally use one brush, the Escoda long handle no. 10 for painting my small paintings. It's thick enough to create a wide swath and yet, comes to a very fine point which holds up over the life of the brush. If it is properly cared for - soap and water, reshaped with fresh soap - it will last a long time.
Escoda Optimo Brushes- the best!!

Comments about Escoda Optimo Kolinsky Sable Filbert:
I use the Optimo Escoda brushes for oil painting. I get excellent results with them and have used them for years. The only draw back is that since they're made of natural fibers they wear out more quickly. However, they hold their form/shape longer.

I'm a photorealistic painter and fine that these brushes keep their point and form throughout the entire process. If you clean them after every session they will last. Great value.

Escoda Optimo Kilinski brushes are the best brushes I''be ever used. The filbert brushes can be used for broad strokes or fine lines, all smooth. They hold the paint well and hold their shape.
