Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India Inks offer powerful color in a convenient dropper-stopper glass bottle. These highly pigmented India inks not only remain lightfast and permanent, but are also totally waterproof when dry. They adhere to nearly all surfaces and are non-clogging when used in pens.
Inks can be diluted with water and used with brushes in traditional watercolor techniques or in dip pens, technical drawing pens, and airbrushes. All colors are brilliant and transparent, except Black and White, which are opaque and have excellent covering power.

My personal favorite for inking
from Portland, ME
Comments about Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India Inks:
This is my absolute favorite ink. It holds up extremely well to water when doing watercolor illustration work. You can work wet on wet on top of the ink as much as you want and it will non run. For my work I use a dip pen. I can see where some people would run into problems with clogging using other types of pens, because it can form a very strong coating on nibs. Using the bombay cleaning solution makes this a non-issue. I have a little glass container that I put near my work desk that I drop my nibs in after inking and it cleans right off. Used properly it is a joy to work with.

I bought this ink in Sepia to pair with my brown Pigma Microns. It works really well and actually layers which is mostly good, sometimes bad. I'm really digging these inks, though. The pigment of the ink is very nice and I would buy these again, as the amount per bottle is well worth the price over some of the other india inks I've bought before.
So far very disappointed. Item arrived in great condition and speed. The normal Blick way. But the ink itself has separated and clogged the dropper. After attempting to mix the ink and, clean tips and wait for days the ink is not very dependable especially in a koh-i-nor pen. I bought it specifically for use in the pen as the regular in is out of stock and I needed it soon. First time I've used a colored ink and Dr Martins but not impressed. Now I have another little used product to stick on the shelf.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I got both round sets because I couldn't decide which colors I would use more and I'm glad I did because this ink is great. It is versatile and will last you, jyst make sure you take care of it.

I have used these inks for many, many years, always with the very best results. None better!
Nice, flowing ink
I tried this ink to replace other ink that clogged when writing for long periods of time. It works great. The ink slides down the side of the ink well and the pen nib does not clog. It's very dark and opaque at the same time. My new type of ink is found.

Amazing Enhancement to My Watercoloring
By Abstract Allen
from Phoenix, Arizona
I have discovered the #1 set of 12 ink dropper bottles to be an amazing addition to my watercolor art work. I've posted an example of my initial experiment adding ink drops to watercolor wash. My mind is awash in other ways to use these versatile inks to produce colorful artistic creations.

Keeps getting better

Bombay India Inks (Round set 1) is probably my new favorite art supply. I purchased them in coordination with a watercolor Skillshare class, and had to get the second set to complete the collection! Whenever Im working in watercolor, you will surely find one of these bottles withins arm reach. They're bold, easy to work with, and have so many possibilities you just can't turn them away!
Beautiful range of hues and lovely to work with!
This ink is wonderful for penning or brushing outlines that are then used with watercolor (since India ink is water resistant). I love the wide range of color options.

Perfect for Amazing Backgrounds!
My students use these to create great multicolored backgrounds, adding water to create different values, and then draw over them with colored pencils for a multimedia masterpiece.
