Great brush until it fell apart in less than a week
By Kat Black
from Swampscott MA
Comments about Da Vinci Brushes Da Vinci Plein Air Bristle Filbert:
Bought these brushes for a weeklong intensive plein air workshop. Initially enjoyed using this brush which fits in a plein air easel, handled paint nicely including allowing me to draw a fine, straight line. By the third day the bristles had loosened in the ferrule, giving a lopsided brush as shown below.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I love these brushes

Comments about Da Vinci Plein Air Bristle Filbert:
I like these because they are nice a stiff for scrubbing in or just filling in spaces. They also create a nice brush stroke if you want that.
EASE OF CONTROL

Fantastic brush for painting clouds and other soft edges with amazing control. I have nothing bad to say about this wonderful brush. I love that the bristles on this filbert brush are short. This gives me the control I need.

Short and stiff
By Wildlife Artist
from Castle Rock, CO
I love the Da Vinci Plein Air Bristle Brushes. I paint mostly with filberts. The filberts in this line are nice and short, so you can be aggressive laying he paint on with these brushes. They hold up well, true to Da Vinci quality. I use with oil paints.

Not what I expected
from Loon Lake, WA
I am unhappy that the bristles of the brushes are beginning to splay out already after only a couple of days painting with them.
