Comments about Crayola Construction Paper Crayon Classroom Packs:
These crayons are so creamy to use. They are almost as smooth as an oil pastel. Using these crayons on construction paper or white paper gives amazing drawing and stand out colors. I love using construction paper crayons in my art room!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Crayola Construction Paper Crayons

Use these in place of pastels when working with younger children. You will get bright vivid images without the mess, and the colors really pop against black construction paper. For the price and the visual effect, they are the way to go.
These Crayons DO show up well on dark paper

I was hoping for brighter and vivid coverage to replace the messy use of chalk on dark construction paper. Even though it did show up a LOT better, it is still not as bright. However it did suit my purposes in an elementary Art classroom quite nicely.

I've tried other construction paper crayons but none match Crayola for intensity of color and durability. They're a bit more expensive but well worth the price.

Best crayons for coloring on dark construction paper. Dickblick was the only store that sold 16 pack size and the price was fantastic!!
I use this project on construction paper. The pastels are easier to illustrate with on construction paper!
Good for younger kids

These do work better than regular crayons on dark paper, but the colors aren't as bright as I had hoped. Oil pastels work much better if you want your colors to pop. However, these are nice for younger kids who aren't yet ready for pastels.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I love these crayons

I love this product. It is crucial to use them on an appropriate colored background paper. What makes these crayons unique is their property to show-up on dark colors - where regular crayons do not. They are softer so I prefer, with younger students, to use the jumbo. The regular size break too easily for them. They are wonderful to use in crayon rubbings.

I bought this knowing that I love Crayola brand crayons.....well I was very disappointed. In the Construction Paper 400 pack 16 color set that I received there is NO true green (only a sea foam and turquoise type green), No true red (only 3 unusual pink shades), only one yellow (it is a very pale yellow), 1 funny shade of brown (not the normal Crayola brown), a funky grey color, and NO true blue. This is the weirdest collection of colors ever! I thought the classroom set of 16 colors would be like the 16 colors you get in an individual pack. It isn't and it is missing very, very important colors when it comes to teaching the color wheel, primary colors, etc. I will be seeing if I can get my money back. :-(
