Random bumps, lines, and other surface irregularities are among its distinctive characteristics.   Caravaggio  Oil-Primed  Linen Canvas Rolls are  double-primed  using a  state-of-the-art  priming method. A mixture of linseed oil and tung oil produces a smoother and more delicate,  veil-like  surface that allows for optimal adhesion. The primer absorbs slowly into the linen, so the artist's oil paints look more brilliant and more natural in color when applied.

Caravaggio jute is imported from India in loom state and then prepared in Italy. Random bumps, lines, and other surface irregularities are a characteristic of Caravaggio canvas.
