Welcome to dickblick
The quality of Neocolor II Aquarelle Artists’ Crayons is universally acknowledged. Their excellent lightfastness, high pigment concentration, and adaptability to a variety of techniques have put them in a class of their own.
Neocolor II Crayons are softer than colored pencils, denser than children’s wax crayons, and extremely responsive to a wet brush. Wet and dry techniques can be combined in the same drawing. Because of their strong pigmentation, light colors cover dark colors and vice-versa.
Neocolors are soft enough to smudge with your fingertips, yet much firmer than oil pastels. Scrape off one or more layers of color to create an engraved sgraffito effect. They can also be combined with Caran d’Ache Pablo Colored Pencils. Best of all, they’re watersoluble.
Individual Neocolor II Crayons measure 105 mm long × 10 mm diameter (4-1/8" × 5/16").

A must have
from Washington state
I use these for adult coloring and my personal artwork. The color selection is fantastic and you can blend them to make more unique colors. They lay down fantastic and are great to use as a base of color then use colored pencils for adding details and shading. These have really enhanced my coloring and other art to a whole new level and I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about purchasing them. You won't regret it.
I have loved this product for many years.

This is the first time I have treated myself by buying all 84 colors. They are creamy soft for drawing. And they disolve easily to use as watercolors.
Vibrant Colors for Fabric coloring
from Pagosa Springs CO
Love these water soluable pastels for coloring fabric.
Chalkboard art look buy lasts longer
Used for menu board that can change over time. Allows board to be erased but the words written with these stay unless washed off. Looks like chalk much more so than chalk markers.
The condition that my order was received in was great!
I'm looking forward to using these paint sticks on fabric for quilted items.

Amazing! I will buy them again.
from Pasco, Washington
I had never used these before, so ordered the 40 tin. After a few plays with them, I am going to order the remainder open stock. The colors are opaque and bright, and they blend seemlessly. They are very smooth and creamy and easy to use. I would imagine they would last a long, long time because of how pigmented they are. These are are most definitely worth every penny.
from Burlington, NC
The only bad thing that I could find was I didn't order the whole set. My birthday is coming soon, so the entire set is number one on my wish list. Great to get some color started in pastels and WONDERFUL for art journal.
Excellent Wet of Dry
Wax pastels--how can they be water soluble? I have no idea, but it works really well. You can aplly color with them directly. Or, you can scribble some color on small pieces of watercolor paper and used as a paper palette for watercolor work. You can wet the crayon with a brush and use both the crayon and the water brush. Versatile. That's what they are. I take a few with me when I travel, so I can add watercolor to my journal. No mess, and they last a long time, too.
Neocolor II is a water soluble artist crayon made from high quality, lightfast pigments. They are softer than colored pencils and denser than wax crayons. When used on their own, Neocolor II Crayons are smooth drawing instruments great for sketching and filling in large areas. When used with water, they become an intensely vibrant and luminous watercolor paint. They can even be used to draw on glass, metal and other non-porous surfaces.
