Welcome to dickblick
This is an economical white glue that bonds to most porous and non-porous materials. Use it on paper, wood, fabric, and ceramic.
Clean-up is easy — wipe it up with a damp cloth before the glue dries.

Glue is really hard to squeeze
from Downingtown, PA
I need to use a lot of muscle to squeeze out this glue. I have no idea how I am going to work with it and kindergarten or first grade. Otherwise, it is a really good glue that sticks well and doesn't run.
Would buy this product again
It is a good product.

The price is far better than the other leading brands. The only downside is that it is thicker than the other brands and doesn't flow quite as easily. Otherwise, it's great.

Art Teachers Beware
By an art teacher
First off, I have to say that my husband and I have been satisfied customers of Blick's for our personal art supplies for many years. Unfortunately, this product falls short of the quality I am used to from Blick's. I am an elementary art teacher and received this glue through our district's warehouse ordering system. It is so thick, it's like trying to squeeze frozen molasses out of a glue bottle. Even my 4th and 5th grade students can barely squeeze a drop of this glue out. It makes my job much more difficult with choruses of "My glue doesn't work!!" and "But it won't come out!!" every time we use glue for a project. Many of the tips have cracked off as well with only a few uses. I've tried adding water to the glue but it just sits on top and won't mix in with the thick, gluey mess. I would try returning it for a usable glue, but our district's system of ordering is long and complicated and I probably wouldn't get new glue until June.Art teachers, you've been warned. It's not worth the frustration!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Excellent Product - Excellent Price
By paper mache convert
from Seattle, WA
I have recently discovered paper mache clay as a sculpting medium. It is fast, easy to make, and capable of rendering beautifully fine detail unlike the old 'paper strip and flour water' version. The materials are all readily available and cheap – except for white glue! It seems incredible but that mainstay of elementary education is really expensive when you go to buy it in a store. Somehow, my thrifty soul balks at paying almost four dollars for a bottle; especially when I need ¾ cup to make a batch of paper mache clay. Enter Dick Blick to the rescue. Their all purpose white glue is available in gallon quantities and it puts all the others to shame. It is about half the price of its nearest competitor. But, does it really work as well?Of course it does! The Blick glue performs even better in the paper mache clay than the nationally known brand named after a certain bovine character. The clay is firmer, more moldable and dries to a better finish when I use Blick's glue. I do have one suggestion for improving Dick Blick's white glue. This does not pertain to the glue itself but rather to the packaging. Might we see an 'easy pour' cap on the gallon jug? I am thinking of something like the pour spout on the large bottles of soy sauce one can buy at Asian Food Markets or Costco. Such a cap would make pouring measured quantities much simpler and reduce cleanup and wastage. Other than this one small suggestion for improvement, I have found Dick Blick's all purpose white glue eminently satisfactory and I heartily recommend that you try it for your art project.
