Created by fusing a thin layer of a traditional gray carving block to a thicker white block, Blick Readycut allows artists to simply carve away the gray layer to reveal the white &mdash; and instantly see how their image will look printed.   Trace an image on the block &mdash; or carve directly for spontaneous creativity. Blick Readycut eliminates repetitive inking, proofing, and cleaning because adjustments and additions are easy to see.   Blick Readycut has an infinite shelf life and is soft enough for all levels of student to work with.   Available in a variety of sizes, Blick Readycut plates measure 5 mm thick.

This kit contains everything your class of 24 to&nbsp;30 students needs for a printmaking project.

It's the original soft printmaking material! E-Z-Cut is a block of synthetic rubber-like material that is so easy to carve that even young students can create printing blocks safely. Use our E-Z-Cut handle and Speedball linoleum cutters for pen-like control. It won't slip and slide on the table.   E-Z-Cut is 3/8&quot; thick&nbsp;&mdash; thick enough that both sides can be carved if desired.&nbsp;Each package contains two blocks. The 4&quot; &times; 5-5/8&quot; (9 cm &times; 14 cm) size is perfect for greeting cards and note cards. Try cutting even smaller squares for rubber stamping! We recommend Dick Blick's water-based printing inks.   Handle printing blocks with care, because E-Z-Cut blocks can break easily if cut too deeply or if accidentally folded.&nbsp; Please note you must use a sharp blade at all times for best results.   &nbsp;

Print on linoleum, wood, soft block surfaces, polyprint plates, and Styrofoam with Blick Water-Soluble Block Printing Inks. The inks are watersoluble, so they're formulated to be dissolvable if they encounter water. After printing, inks will move, bleed, or rinse off if they come into contact with water. 
  The pigments are ground and milled to the perfect consistency to produce optimum results in block printing — good coverage without over-inking. 
  Blick Water-Soluble Block Printing Inks clean up easily with water. They're non-toxic, and conform to ASTM D 4236.
