Comments about Blick Painting Knives:
I bought it to paint with, however I was finishing a colored pencil drawing. I messed it up and used the knife to scrape off my eraser goo. I can't wait to paint with it
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My B2 412-20 Pallet Knife showed up in a pretty much unusable condition. The wide straight edge wasn't straight at all. it was more like an arch shape. High on each end and not touching the pallet in the middle. Also there was a rather noticeable burr along one edge. it took me approximately 15 minutes to; 1st, hone both sides flat to remove the burrs and 2nd, stand it on it's end and hone it sideways and up and down to get the edge straight. Now it works very nicely but w/o my metal working skills it would have been worthless to me for art projects.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Catalog shopping-was larger than Needed. Blade is good and beveled well. Will go back and order smaller Blick blade.

About a third of my paintings are done with painting knives, the Dick Blick knives are very nice and they feel good in your hand, are solidly made and have a good edge. There are no rough points to scratch or tear your canvas or board. Oh and really good price for this piece of equipment.

These knives do exactly what I want. They lay the paint on thick and easily scrape off excess. The edges are great for detail work and the handles are very comfortable. A great value!

Very nice knives!

These are almost identical to the Bob Ross painting knives, but the lower price makes them a way better option. They are very durable and sturdy, and have a nice "spring" to them that does not leave the blade bent. They also have nice edges which make loading the knives easier.
