Welcome to dickblick
These fine-quality frames are made from solid pine and expertly stained to complement your home décor.
The driftwood lends a rustic, weathered look, ideal for complementing landscape and wildlife scenes. Every frame includes a wood liner.
Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
Frame Dimensions — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.
Open Back Frames — These frames are meant to be hung on the wall and are sold as just the frame face. They are not shipped with backing material, glazing material, or hanging hardware. The open back frames are commonly used for traditional profile stretched canvases.

Driftwood Frame is sturdy
from Palmyra, Virginia
Comments about Blick Driftwood Frames with Wood Liner:
This frame is built well, and is a nice width. However, the color was dark brown , so was much darker than I wanted to go with my seascape. I had ordered the light gray. I painted over the brown with medium and then light gray acrylic paint and used a bristle brush pushing heavily to make lines which let some of the color below show through. It ended up looking great with my gray seagull and blue water background.

Not well made.
By Lori the Artist.
from New York City, NY
I purchased this particular frame for my wife for our 5 year wedding anniversary. The texture of the wood was not at all what natural driftwood looks like. The frame's cut out for the canvas was uneven and the only way I could fit the canvas was to chisel out some of the inner wood to get it to fit. I still had to make sure to position the canvas so it was even and no gaps would show. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product and I would not purchase from Brick again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Looks great on rustic landscape
By Prairie painter
from Great plains
Blick's frames are always a good value. I do rural and river landscapes and the driftwood frames are a good match and more reasonably priced than barn wood anywhere I have looked.
Frame split at the gallery!
I wrapped the framed painting in a box to transport to the gallery and when I pulled the painting out of the box there was a big split in the wood. I had to peel off the wood and color in the raw wood with a pencil. The quality of the frames is low and the finish is poor. This was the only frame offered in a 18x14 size in the driftwood style. I was very embarrassed and I will never order these frames again.

two oil paintings now framed

I do all my own framing on my art work. These frames are very beautiful but I was a tiche disappointed when I took the corner wrappers off and discovered big long scratches in the wood. I repaired them . . . there was one on each of 3 corners, and you can't see where the scratches were, so I can be very proud of my finished product. The frames are made in Mexico, but they are well-made other than the scratches.

This frame was damaged but I fixed it myself. Please inspect your frames BEFORE sending. Thank you.
I have recommended this frame
These frames complement my paintings of wildlife beautifully. They have just the right feel of rusticity, and yet look well made.
