Artograph's DesignMaster allows you to create bright sharp images, and achieve professional results enlarging up to 30x and reducing to 70% of original size. Use it for illustration, drawing, or fine art. Two stainless steel clips hold your copy securely within the 6" × 6" copy area.
The projector also includes one 250W photo bulb, a 200mm ground optical glass lens for accurate and precise image size and proportion.
Assembly required. 120V, 2.5 AC. 60 Hz. Weighs 19 lbs (9 kg).
The Designer can only be used with the Artograph Mobile Projector Floor Stand.
250W Photo Bulb — One 250W photo bulb is included with the projector. The advantage of using an ordinary 250W bulb in a projector is its longer bulb life. However, the 250W photo bulb is recommended because it gives a much truer reproduction of color. Lasts approximately 25 hours.
Electrical Warning — All electrical products have U.S. standard plugs and voltage. Due to damage that can occur when using incompatible plugs, sockets, or converters, Blick does not ship electrical items or accessories outside of North America or to freight forwarders.

Good resonable pricing

I have had the Artograph Designer Projector for ten years and I just recently burned a projection 250 watt bulb and I could not find one to replace until I found out that Dick Blick carried the bulb. The price of the bulb was reasonable so I bought two bulbs. I use the projector to help out with murals.
I would buy this product again

This product does its job but must be in a darkened room. I found it somewhat difficult to adjust the focus but it stayed in place once adjusted.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Difficult to use

For projecting images on canvas to do outline for artistic paintingIf you can afford a more expensive projector, buy! this one is difficult to focus
Great time saver
So far this appears to be of quality construction, the instructions are well written and it's saved me some time already (which is why I originally bought it). I'm anticipating many more years of time saving to come!

I ordered this product to help reduce drawing time and increase painting time. Though it does project an image in a dark room, the lens is difficult to focus; there is no easy way to fine tune as the lens tube turns stiffly and is jerky. The projected picture is not fully focused- by this I mean that one section of the photo will be crystal clear, while other areas are blurry. An intermediate compromise between crystal and blurry can be achieved, but areas of fine detail are lost throughout. Placing the picture to be projected is not a quick process as it takes time to level the projected image as well as find the sweet spot where the light can illuminate the image best. If using images printed on inkjet- they will curl if not taped down because the clips do not hold securely and mask portions of a 4"x6" image. This is most likely a satisfactory projector for someone who just needs to create an elementary sketch.

Works Like a Charm

Simple and easy to use. Just reduce an 8 x 11 image to 6 x 6", and project on the wall to draw. Every stained glass artist should have one.

Great Projector/Bad Bulb
from Ellensburg, WA.
This is a great projector. The images it projects are razor sharp and crystal clear, it stays nice and cool from the fan. I use this to project on walls for murals, and to reduce or enlarge drawings to fit exact specifications of customers. The ONLY bad thing about this projector is the bulb. Two days after getting the projector the bulb blew out. Thank God they sell 250w light bulbs in my town. So, if you can't get 250w bulbs where you live you better stock up on them, because they DO NOT last 25 hrs. as discribed, they only last 1 min. to 3 hrs. max.
These quality projectors from Artograph are available in two formats; one for horizontal projection and one for vertical. Learn more about the features of these projectors and see how they work.
