Artfix Polyester Canvas Rolls

ArtFix Polyester Rolls are a modern solution for the professional painter. Since polyester isn't affected by moisture, it experiences less temperature-related expansion and contraction than either linen or cotton. Polyester also creates an environment that is incredibly stable and chemically compatible, and its nearly flawless, extra-fine surface is popular with oil painters.

Polyester is also used by art conservators for relining paintings — old, delicate canvases can be glued to the stretched polyester without fear of buckling, providing a moisture-proof barrier between the stretcher bars and the wall that will last forever.

Artfix polyester rolls are primed with four coats of Artfix Universal Primer, an acrylic formulation that provides a more matte-like and absorbent surface for use with oils, acrylics, oil sticks, pastels, charcoal, or graphite.
