Ideal for artists looking for a less toothy pastel surface!   Art Spectrum Colourfix Smooth Pastel Paper has a surface that is less abrasive than Colourfix Coated Pastel Paper. Developed in part with the manufacturers of PanPastel Artists' Painting Pastels, Colourfix Smooth still holds multiple pastel layers but in a more gentle fashion. What's more, the surface won't cause excessive damage to PanPastel Sofft tools or fingertips (when used for blending).   Colourfix Smooth Pastel Paper can be used successfully with practically all media &mdash; pastels, charcoal, pencils, oils, acrylics, gouache, inks, silverpoint, and even watercolor. The smooth yet toothy surface is ideal for pastels, pencil, or charcoal, as it will hold multiple overlays of color without the need to fix between layers.   The unique, fine tooth surface is produced by screen printing Art Spectrum Colourfix acrylic primer onto a heavyweight watercolor paper. The absence of fixative allows the velvet bloom and vibrant pastel colors to be preserved. Apply a final light spray of fixative if desired.   Available in a variety of lightfast colors, this paper is acid-free. It weighs  230 lb (340 gsm) .

Art Spectrum Colourfix Optimum boards are premium, high-density foam boards that are screen printed by hand with a lightfast, sanded acrylic gesso.
