Perfect for plein air painting and convenient for travel, Arches Watercolor Pads are ideal for both professional artists and students.   Each pad holds 12 sheets of natural white,  140 lb (300 gsm) , 100% cotton paper that is acid-free. The paper is ideal for watercolor, gouache, ink, acrylics, drawing, and printmaking, and strong enough to handle multiple washes of color, masking fluid, scrubbing, and artist's tape without damage to the surface. Gelatin sizing gives each fiber a consistent feel and absorbency.   A  long-time  favorite of artists, Arches watercolor paper is produced on a cylinder mould machine and has been manufactured in the same French paper mill since 1492.

Arches watercolor papers are mouldmade in France, with 100% cotton fiber content. They are acid-free, pH-neutral, gelatin-sized, and air-dried. Sheets have two natural deckle edges, two torn deckle edges, and are watermarked and embossed. The 16" x 20" sheets have four deckle edges. See the Item Specs tab for gsm equivalent weights.

Arches Watercolor Blocks contain natural white, mouldmade watercolor paper that is cut and glued with a black glue in convenient blocks. There are 20 sheets of  140&nbsp;lb (300&nbsp;gsm) paper per block with a black protective sheet as the first layer.  Remove this sheet to get started. Several sizes of Cold Press blocks are also available in a 10&nbsp;sheet, 300&nbsp;lb (640&nbsp;gsm) variety.
