A convenient, portable watercolor brush at a great low 3-pack price. Water is loaded into the barrel and the creating begins through small, medium, or large synthetic Taklon brush heads that are easy to clean, and great for use on most any surface. Large barrel.

Comments about Royal Langnickel Aqua Flow Brush Set:
At first they need to get started with the water flow but that's so easy and the brushes have such a nice taper. They are lovely to use!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Decent quality, decent price
from Cleveland Ohio
They function ok. Not real well constructed. The brush tips need a thorough washing before use, as the substance used to stiffen them before purchase is yellow and mixes with the medium.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Horrible, when I got them the brushes had glue all over the brush hairs, got slimy when wet and the center of the brush hairs fell out. Are they cheap, sure, but these shouldn't be allowed to be sold

Do not buy these.
The brushes fall off the shaft. This brand is not usable.

Okay for children's art classrooms but not much else
These water brushes would be an alright addition to a low-level art class for young students, but anything beyond that, spend a little more and get better brushes like the Niji, Pentel, or Sakura Koi water brushes. The caps do not stay on, and the bristles themselves are very low-quality and are not tapered like a proper watercolor brush would be. Don't let the product photos fool you, the tips are not pointed once the sizing is washed out, and do not hold a shape. The bristles feel like Barbie doll hair. They also have a tendency to leak from the screw seam where the brush head attaches to the barrel. If you want to eliminate the need for a cup of water that your young children might accidentally knock over during arts and crafts time, these would be great for that purpose. Anything more serious, look for higher quality brushes.

Got these from a brick-and-mortar store to see whether I'd like the new "water brush" concept. This particular brand were the quick cheap easy buy, but they turned out to be too cheap. Upon first use of any one of the three brushes, many of the bristles CAME OUT OF THE END OF THE BRUSH simply due to the fact that there was water in the thing. But, duh, IT'S DESIGNED to have water in it, so this is pretty feeble. The bristles just extruded right out the end of the thing, going forward in the direction of water flow, as though maybe they had only been "clumped" into the end of the plastic tube, rather than actually affixed there in some permanent manner. All three brushes behaved like that, for about the first three or four refills, until all the "spare" bristles had been adequately discarded and only the "properly affixed" ones remained. I still worry about them, because I get the sense that if I were to really squeeze too hard, I'd lose more bristles maybe? This (obviously) means that each brush head is now rather much less full of bristles than when I first saw them in their blister-packaging. The bristles seem to have stopped slipping out of the thing but I'm not really entirely sure that, if maybe I let it totally dry out, they wouldn't ALL fall out due to lack of moisture forcing them to swell and thus stick in place. Very shoddy construction. But the CONCEPT of water-brushes seems to be catching on, and when these are used properly (if you ignore the issue of falling out bristles) then I think it works pretty well. Wish I could confirm what the brush-heads were, how how- or low-quality the synthetic fibers or natural hairs are, and so forth. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Kolinsky Sable travel-brush with a little plastic pump-pack of water backing it up? Or your favorite Neptune or Silver Brush? So, THIS brand of water-brush is weak in design or manufacture, I think; but the IDEA of a water-brush is strong.
