Perfect and small
from Seattle, WA
Comments about Alvin Minimaster Table:
Perfect small size art table, it fits in my small space. It even came with either roller wheels or non-moveable feet. Good thing because I hate the roller wheels. Only complaint is the finishing of the edge was sloppy. They overlapped the black table border, when it should have been just the right length.

Excellent crafts table

Table is sturdy and useful. In assembling, though, I wished I had a power driver for the 10 wood screws. I'll tighten them soon with a borrowed power driver. Nice size table for hobbyists!
Perfect size for small apt and gets me up and running
By Peter the artist
Setting up an art studio in a small apt and this fits perfectly helping me to get started with many projects. Love the functionality for its size and am really looking forward to putting it to good use. Sturdy table for its size and price range.

Great Stand-Up Desk
By Stand Up Worker
from Portland, OR
I use this table as a stand-up computer desk so top is flat rather than sloped as for drawing. I like that I can adjust the desk height to fit my height--a bit shorter than more common tall desks. The built-in shelf works as an occasional foot rest. Assembly was pretty easy but did require two people, at least for me. I was happy to have a helper. The table feels solid and stable; I'm not worried about having my computer and extra monitor on it. I'm trying to convince my grandson to get one for himself.

I put this table together all by myself in about 30 minutes - and that says a lot! I love it. It's about the right size for my painting or ceramics projects and is adjustable if I prefer to stand or sit. And it came with a choice of wheels or feet - wheels are so nice and were unexpected! I was very happy to see that I had picked a great product at a great price.
Great table for the price
from Arcadia, CA
Nice, solid table with plenty of workspace. I can have my paints, water, sketching materials, etc. on the table and still don't feel cluttered when I'm trying to paint. Also added a small lamp which doesn't get in the way. It took my son and I only about 20 minutes to assemble. Now my kids don't complain about all my "art stuff" cluttered around the house.

I'd like to begin by stating that I think the previous review is ridiculous; the knobs are easy to lose? My car keys are easy to lose, but this table's knobs? After two moves across the US and repeated feng-shui, I have yet to misplace any of the few parts, to what I have come to regard as a highly versatile table. My Mini-Master has performed continuously as part of my workstation since I got it about 5-6 years ago. I had it crammed in a storage unit for three months - an upside-down recliner on top of it, the whole time. Not a crack, bend, or even a slight bow.Mine has acted as a straight-up drawing table, a piano stand and finally, as my workstation table. I suppose it would've been cool if the top were somehow able to stand up to the weight of a CRT monitor, but during my Trinitron days, that was not quite meant to be.The shelf on the bottom, while clearly one of the ways they made this table so ding-dang-cheap, can be kind of annoying, for obvious reasons.. but it's more of a structural thing. While a shelfless design would have been preferable, it requires more metal, which means a higher price tag. (One of the better models.)Basically, I have found that it would be a real challenge to walk in to some store and try to by anything close to this quality, for under $200. I almost bought one of Alvin's pricier models and maybe someday I will. I'm confident that when that day comes, this table will still be in the like-new shape it is today and I can relegate it to another use, hand it down, or sell it.Just appalled by the one-star of the other review. Not cool, lady.

The knobs can be easily lost. The bolts holding the shelf on (and also the legs in place) loosen themselves with movement of the table and fall out. The pencil rails fall off because the screws work their way out and get lost. The adjustable front legs fall inside of the hollow part and get stuck so you need pliers and screw driver to get them out. they are wobbly even when all the bolts are tightened. Not a good product for a busy school art room.
