CelebratingArt and Blick Art Materials work together to sponsor art contests for students in grade K-3 from the US and Canada. The best art is selected to be published in a full color book and overall winners in the contest receive awards. We work to motivate and reward student artists and to record student art.
Churn an Art Magazine
Churn an Art Magazine features in-depth interviews with artists and musicians. We support the arts through a printed magazine / online-magazine / and soon to be launch www.churntube.com streaming video featuring artists and musicians
The site offers a free e-course of creative drawing that derives from the experience had by creating a modular painting. The course is mainly focused to project innovative landscapes using paper and pencil and different kinds of colors can be used to color the resulting drawings.
Artists are just a different type of people. At least we like to think we are. Artists can take many forms, the young child coloring his first book to the retired engineer who does house portraits for a living. All artists are unique, yet they are all the same in one essential way. They love to create, and love to explore new ways of creating. Each week I will put together a project idea, with helps and tips along the way. I will occasionally mention new artists that catch my eye, and I will dive into the historical lives of past artists and concepts/techniques for your own work. I will also review some random artists from the weeks project and post a few random submissions* from readers. In short, I want you to become the artist that you were created to be.
