Art Paste and Wheat Paste

Epoxy Glues have two components, a binder and a catalyst or hardener. The hardener is added shortly before use. Epoxy Glues have a longer open time than instant glues.

Glue Pens and Applicators

Instant Glues are best known by some of their registered trade names, such as Superglue® and Krazy Glue®. They are based on fast-acting cyanoacrylate adhesives, and they have a very short shelf life, even when they are not used. For this reason, they are sold in small containers, intended for a single use. Store them in a cool, dry location such as a refrigerator to extend their shelf life.

Plastic Cements work by dissolving a thin layer of the surface on a plastic to create a deeper and more flexible bond. They are ideal for joining two pieces of plastic, but when a single piece of plastic is joined with another material, a different adhesive should be used.

Polyurethane Resin Glues

Polyurethane Resin Glues are extremely strong, yet they cure more flexible and have longer open time than Instant Glues. The resulting bond is weather-resistant and stable at ambient temperatures. A disadvantage is that the uncured resin tends to foam up and expand in contact with oxygen. Clean-up is very difficult.
