Drawing and Painting Activities, a collection of lesson plans subtitled Using Masterworks as Inspiration, provides the tools teachers need to inspire students in grades K–8 to enjoy art history.

The book offers 30 student activities based around masterworks that were created by artists from different backgrounds and cultures. These activities will help children develop aesthetic perception. They will help them increase their ability to evaluate and differentiate between different art forms.

Each activity lists the materials needed, and provides step-by-step procedures. Drawing and Painting Activities features more than 200 color illustrations, as well as a glossary of the vocabulary terms that are used.
