Aboriginal Art: Past, Present, and Future DVD

This DVD provides an introduction to the history of visual art among the Aboriginal people of Australia. It features works ranging from prehistoric cave art to those produced by contemporary Aboriginal artists who draw upon the art of their ancestors.

The issues of dispossession, racism, and a sense of cultural identity provide a basis for painting themes and are examined in the film.
