Volume 1: The Human Form Revealed — This DVD uses live models to bring the study of human anatomy to life. By seeing the figure in motion, the artist and art student can easily develop an understanding of the subject. The various sections of the body are examined, describing the surface forms, underlying bone structure, and how they combine to allow the human form to move. This is a complete survey of the human body, from neck to toe, highlighting muscular and skeletal systems, simple and complex muscle groups, crucial joints and body mechanisms, and visible landmarks. Volume 2: The Human Head — Designed to assist the artist and art student in rendering the human head, this DVD addresses those topics critical in understanding the anatomy of the head. This includes an examination of the bones of the cranium and face, muscles of the head and their functions, surface forms that define the face, canons of proportion of the head, characteristics that differentiate gender and age, and facial expressions. It provides a solid base of knowledge about the human head, which can be applied to artists’ work. DVD. 34 minutes.

Volume 3: Man in Motion — Knowing and being able to draw the parts of the human body is one thing. Putting that knowledge into action is quite another. This informative DVD examines a variety of human activities including running, walking, jumping, climbing, lifting, throwing, and more. The program breaks down frame by frame the component movements of the body, utilizing the live model and three different camera angles. The emphasis is on major muscle groups, key frames of actions, as well as the relationship between balance and movement. DVD. 47 minutes.
