Mercerized cotton, also known as perle cotton, is cotton yarn that has been chemically treated under tension to increase absorption and luster. Mercerized cotton absorbs more dye and has a brilliant color and sheen, ideal for weaving and embroidery. Each box contains 24 skeins of one color. Each skein is 8 yards.
