Dick Blick asked Jullian, the designer of the original, to make us a French style easel with all the original workmanship and details, plus a few modern innovations that just make sense, like a nylon carrying strap.

This classically designed easel combines a sketchbox, easel, and canvas carrier in one for the on location, plein air painter. Blick's French Easel, designed by Jullian, is adjustable to whatever height and angle suits your painting style. It is beautifully handcrafted in naturally dried, oiled, and polished elmwood.

The easel includes a weather-resistant metal-lined box that holds paint, brushes, and accessories and a wood palette. Use it as a canvas carrier too. Finished paintings can be placed on the outside of the folded easel and carried. Pre-assembled.
