This redesigned, lyptus wood easel is fully adjustable, making it suitable for use with a wide variety of mediums. It can be used horizontally for watercolor work, vertically for oils and acrylics, or tilted forward for pastels. It includes a base shelf for easy storage of materials. Lobo is great for small apartments and dorm rooms, for artists who have limited space and must use one easel for everything. When it comes time to put it away, it folds completely flat for storage. Hang it on two hooks in the back of a closet, or slip it underneath a bed or sofa. Richeson's Academy Lobo is a less expensive version of the Best Deluxe Lobo Easel. Unlike the Best Lobo, which uses hand-rubbed red oak and ships pre-assembled, the Academy Lobo is constructed from lyptus hardwood and requires some assembly by the consumer. see also ... |
Lyptus premium hardwood is grown on well-managed plantations in South America, making it the eco-friendly choice for the global consumer. Lyptus wood is from hybrid eucalyptus trees, which mature in 14–16 years (other hardwoods take up to 60 years).Trees sprout from the stump of previously harvested trees, so the forest is always renewing itself! The wood is harder than oak, enabling easels made of lyptus to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. |
