Plasti-Paste is a no-odor, two-component fiber resin that was designed for vertical surface application without sagging.
Say you want to make a mold of a piece of architectural ornamentation permanently affixed to the side of a building — 20 stories in the air! Or perhaps you want to make a mold of a model that is inverted (hanging upside down), such as an ornate ceiling medallion surrounding a light fixture? It is, of course, impossible to pour rubber over models such as these. The only answer is to make a mold by brushing Plasti-Paste onto the model.
Plasti-Paste is ideal as a mother mold/support shell or laminating material, and cures quickly to a strong, durable, lightweight plastic. The working time is 8–10 minutes. Demold time is approximately 90 minutes, depending on mass.
Part A is a liquid. Part B is a paste. The mix ratio by volume is 1:3. A release agent is necessary to facilitate demolding when applying Plasti-Paste as a mother mold over a cured rubber mold. A liberal coat of release agent should be applied onto all surfaces that will contact the plastic.
Plasti-Paste will bond to urethane rubber and itself.
