Ideal for larger work, No. 48 Stoneware Clay is blended from several clays chosen for their plastic qualities, coarse fireclay, and grog. Offering superb texture for throwing, handbuilding, and sculpting, it fires to a warm speckled buff color at cone 5–6 oxidation, and is dark brown after reduction firing. Note — Amaco clay is AP non-toxic when moist; in dry form, product carries a health warning. Note — Any combination of clay, plaster, and molding material totaling 50 lbs or more does not qualify for our free shipping offer. |
