Auto Air Additives

Airbrush Cleaner — Use this waterbased biodegradable cleaner to clean airbrushes between color changes. Simply rinse the airbrush with water to remove excess color, then add Cleaner to the airbrush and spray until color is completely gone. Rinse the airbrush with water to remove any residual Auto Air Cleaner.

Aluminum Bases — Aluminum bases are available in three grades — fine, medium, and coarse. They are highly reflective and intended as an undercoat for Candy colors, and may also be used alone for an aluminum-like reflective finish. They cover quickly, and often only one coat is needed. Apply over Base Coat Sealer Dark to insure proper adhesion. They are made with heavy metallic flakes. Stirring may be required, in addition to thorough shaking.

Base Coat Sealer — This is a low build, adhesive sealer coat. It is opaque and covers well in one or two coats. Cure with heat before applying additional coats. Use Base Coat Sealer Dark as a primer for most Auto Air Colors. Use Base Coat Sealer White as the initial layer when working with colors that have a light value.

Direct To Metal Sealer — This low-build sealer is intended for application onto exposed, untreated metals without risk of corrosion. The metal surface should be prepared by sanding with 600 grit paper and cleaned prior to application. It is best used for spot sealing exposed metals areas after sanding an existing finish.

Flash Reducers — Essential additives for improving flow, atomization, and leveling. Use them to thin colors for improved flow, leveling, and atomization with an acceleration in drying time. For airbrush usage, these products aid in control and preventing over-spray when using smaller tip sizes at lower PSI settings. This results in cleaner lines when doing detail work.

Restorer — This medium removes or dissolves cured and uncured waterbased paints. It makes for easy cleanup and complete removal of Auto Air Colors for cured finishes (prior to clear) and dried paint in spray guns and airbrushes.

Transparent Base — This base may be added to colors to increase transparency. Add in small increments.
