This classic bullnose style solid oak frame has a 1½" deep profile, and an off-white linen liner. It goes well in contemporary homes, and has been a favorite in offices, lobbies, and other commercial settings. With its tall but narrow profile, the Banister Frame is striking when you're up close. It's meant for a larger room, not for a "near field" viewing situation such as a stairway or corridor. With its simple geometry and rounded crown, it goes well with most contemporary office furniture. No wonder it is a favorite of so many commercial decorators. The solid oak moulding resists nicks and scratches, important when a frame is used in a busy environment, such as an office lobby. The finish resists stains and is easy to clean, yet it shows the open grain and texture of the wood very well, even in Black. The Banister Frame is suitable for matted or mounted works on paper, as well as works on panel or board. Its rabbet measures ¼" deep, not deep enough for stretched canvas or heavier art boards. Value priced, it's available in Honey, White Wash, and Black. Color Matching — We do our best to match the color of frames, both on our website photography and in our catalogs, but differences in technology may affect the appearance of the photo on your screen. You are entitled to return, for refund or credit, any frame that does not meet your expectations. Remember that the frame size is the size of the artwork a frame is designed to hold, not the exterior dimensions. see also ... |
