Blick's Academic Red Sable series was designed to provide advanced students with a watercolor brush that is excellent and yet affordable, especially in larger sizes. The fine red sable hair is sorted and selected in England, and 15-20% of each lot is rejected for size or quality reasons. The result is a brush of much greater quality than other academic sables.
