We use only select male Kolinsky Sable hair to produce a truly remarkable painting experience. The sturdier, fuller hair of the male Kolinsky is subtly but perceptibly firmer than our Studio Sable, allowing greater control of the stroke. There is a velvety feel between brush and paper.

The hair is cupped by the most experienced hands, formed with extreme scrutiny and glued into seamless nickel-plated brass ferrules. Triple crimping ensures that the head will never separate from the handle. The Master Sable's Italian hardwood handle has five coats of lacquer. Each brush head is individually molded to retain its original shape. This is brush-making at its finest.
