Use Artists' Oilbar to draw directly onto canvas and other surfaces with wet oil color. Working with Oilbar is expressive and immediate. Nothing comes between the artist and the surface, not even a brush. Oilbar is an artists' quality range of oil color in solid, stick form. The 35 colors are made by combining pigment, oil, and a blend of specially selected waxes. Each pigment has the same permanence rating as equivalent colors in Winsor & Newton's Artists' and Winton oil color lines. To work with Oilbar, wipe away the thin surface film which forms on drying. Underneath is fresh, clean oil color ready for use. It softens and flows as pressure is applied to the bar. Original Set of 6 — A set of basic mixing colors. Colors include Cadmium Lemon, Cadmium Red, French Ultramarine, Ivory Black, Titanium White, and a Colorless Blender. Slim Set of 12 — Comprised of economical, slim size Oilbars. Colors include Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Cadmium Lemon, Cadmium Red, French Ultramarine, Manganese Blue Hue, Oxide of Chromium, Titanium White, Winsor Green, Yellow Ochre, and a Colorless Blender. Colorless Blender — Contains binder without pigment, the equivalent of linseed oil in oil color. Use the colorless blender for blending and glazing colors directly on the canvas. |
