Holbein New Concept Colors

Dick Blick offers Holbein's complete line of 108 colors, including Holbein's 24 New Concept colors. Each New Concept color is intended to enhance the artist's treatment of specific subject matter. These new colors augment Holbein's traditional palette of 84 colors.

Holbein recognizes that each Artist develops a preference for certain colors that become an individual and preferred palette for most subject matter. The new colors are notable for their lightfast and physical permanence, both individually and in mixture. They offer exceptional chroma levels and outstanding brush handling qualities on high quality watercolor papers.

Basic Colors — Colors to enrich an artist's basic palette: Gamboge Nova, Brilliant Orange, Cherry Red, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, Lavender, and Titanium White.

Landscape Colors — Colors to enrich landscape, mountains, and forests: Bamboo Green, Cobalt Green (Yellow Shade), Leaf Green, Mars Yellow, Umber, and Shadow Green.

Festive Colors — Colors to embellish any subject with a warm festive feeling: Gold, Silver, Brilliant Pink, Shell Pink, Rose Violet, and Bright Rose.
