By Subway
|
- Blick Art Materials is one block north of the Bleecker Street station (#4 and #6) which connects with the Broadway-Lafayette station (B, D, F, and V). East Side trains (#4, #5, and #6) run under Lafayette. The #4 and #6 trains stop at Bleecker Street, but the #5 Express does not. Local and express trains to Brooklyn and Queens (B, D, F, and V) run under Houston Street, and stop at Broadway-Lafayette. One block to the East, the N, R, and W trains run under Broadway, but only the W train makes a local stop at Broadway and Prince Street during business hours.
- From Downtown, the East Side, or Midtown/Grand Central, take the #6 train to Bleecker Street. Note that the #4 express train stops at Bleecker northbound but not southbound, while the #5 express train does not stop at Bleecker. If you take an express train, transfer to the #6 local at 14th Street southbound or Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall northbound. Exit at Bleecker.
- From the Upper West Side, take the B or D trains. Alternatively, take the Broadway Local (#1) and transfer to the B or D at Columbus Circle. Exit at Broadway-Lafayette.
- From the West Side, take the A train and transfer to the Brooklyn bound B, D, F, or V train at West 4th Street. Exit at Broadway-Lafayette. Alternatively, take the #2 or #3 express trains to Fulton Street and transfer to the #4 train uptown. Exit at Bleecker.
- From Brooklyn or Queens, take the F or V trains to Broadway-Lafayette. From Brooklyn or the Bronx, take the B or D trains to Broadway-Lafayette.

By Regional Commuter Trains
|
- From Westchester or Connecticut, take the Metro-North trains to Grand Central Station. Transfer to the subway and take the #6 local train downtown to Bleecker Street. Exit at Bleecker.
- From Long Island, take the LIRR to Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. Transfer to the subway and take the B or D train to Broadway-Lafayette. Alternatively, take the LIRR to Penn Station and follow directions for the Amtrak trains.
- From Newark, Jersey City, and Hoboken, take the PATH train (north branch) to 14th Street.and transfer to the subway. Take the Brooklyn bound F or V train two stops and exit at Broadway-Lafayette. Alternatively, take the PATH train (south branch) to World Trade Center. Transfer to the subway and take the A train uptown to West 4th Street. Transfer to the Brooklyn bound B, D, F or V train one stop and exit at Broadway-Lafayette.
- Amtrak trains stop at Penn Station, located south of 34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. Transfer at Penn Station to the subway. Use the underground pedestrian concourse to walk one block east, and catch the B, D, F, or V train southbound (towards downtown and Brooklyn). Exit at Broadway-Lafayette.

By Automobile
|
- Blick Art Materials is located near the southwest corner of Lafayette and Bond, two blocks north of Houston Street, and one block east of Broadway. The store is midway between the crowded Wall Street and Midtown commercial areas, near the campus of New York University (NYU). Parking and traffic are less difficult than in other areas of lower Manhattan, but we encourage public transportation.
- From the East Side, we recommend taking 2nd Avenue south. Turn right at Houston Street and continue to Lafayette. Turn right at Lafayette. Blick is two blocks north.
- From the West Side, the Lincoln Tunnel, or the George Washington Bridge, take the West Side Highway southbound. Turn left at Clarkson Street (one block north of Houston). After four blocks, Clarkson becomes Carmine Avenue. Continue three more blocks to Bleecker Street. Turn right on Bleecker and continue eastbound to Lafayette. At Bleecker and Lafayette, start looking for parking.
- From the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, take the West Side Highway north to Clarkson Street (one block north of Houston). Turn right on Clarkson and follow directions for the West Side (above).
- From the Holland Tunnel, this route requires only right turns. Keep to the right while exiting the tunnel to get on Hudson Street northbound. Take Hudson northbound to Carmine Street. Turn right on Carmine and continue three blocks to Bleecker Street. Turn right on Bleecker and continue eastbound to Lafayette. At Bleecker and Lafayette, start looking for parking.
- From the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, turn right on Centre/Lafayette north. Look for parking north of Houston Street.

Walking Tours

- Soho is a famous district full of art galleries and artist lofts, located southwest of our store in the neighborhood west of Broadway and south of Houston Street.
- Greenwich Village is a historic neighborhood, located northwest of our store, centered on Washington Square Park. The campus of New York University (NYU) is between our store and Washington Square Park.
- The East Village is a trendy neighborhood, full of boutiques, cafes, and clubs. It is centered on St. Mark's Place and other streets west of Tompkins Square Park.
- The Lower East Side, southeast of our store, has been reborn as a trendy shopping district. The best shopping is along Orchard Street.
- Little Italy is immediately to the south of us, centered on Mott and Elizabeth streets, and is famous for its summertime festivals.
