Unlike many "brush" pens, the Zig Clean Color Real Brush pen has a genuine bristle tip that lets you create marks of any width — from broad strokes to fine lines.
Filled with a waterbased dye that is odorless and xylene-free, these pens are easy to blend. Both portable and versatile, they're great for plein air work as well as manga and cartooning.

Zig Color Brushes
from Central PA
Comments about Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens:
I make cards and took a class this summer on using watercolor with stamps. I also watched a few videos on line to help. Now that I have more than the basic 12 colors, I hope to add variety to my projects. I do not consider myself "artistic" as I cannot draw but it gives me great pleasure to color someone else's stamp ideas.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Not as waterproof as I had hoped
from Atlanta, GA
Had a really nice, crisp line and even flow, no weird bristles or pieces sticking out, unlike the micron line of brush pens. However, it is not that waterproof. I usually like to do lineart and then fill my work in, but on hot press watercolor the ink bled straight into my paint.
I painted a greeting card with the water color brushes
from Henderson NV
I made a greeting card and was very pleased with the painting. The one thing that I was not happy about is not finding more sets through the catalog in the store. I saw 3-4 sets on the internetwith many more colors and less money. Now I will have to order elsewhere to colors to work with. This does not make me happy! I have the basic 12 colors but wanted the 60 color set. Since Blicks was the only store in our vicinity that carried them, I had to settle for the small set.
you are the very best

I use the Zig Watercolor brushes in painting handmade greeting cards. They are so vibrant in color and so easy to use. I have been amazed at how incredible the finished project looks. Nothing like what has been found on the market before and to think they can be purchased in eighty beautiful shades of color!! Plus the price is the BEST to be found.

OK... but not for me
from Northeast Ohio
I was excited that this pen features a real brush tip, however, I quickly realized that I really didn't need that kind of tip for the art I was doing. After I apply the ink, I blend it out with water, so the brush tip texture is lost. Secondly, when just using as a marker (without adding water) the ink doesn't lay down very well at all. It's almost like a marker running out of ink. Finally, when blending out, the original line/mark I made does not blend away. It's very visible. Colors dull quickly, also.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
