Yupo is a compelling and unique alternative to traditional art papers. It's a synthetic paper, machine-made in the USA of 100% polypropylene. It is waterproof, stain-resistant, and extremely strong and durable.
This extraordinary, non-absorbent surface resists tearing and buckling and remains perfectly flat, eliminating the need for soaking, stretching, or taping.
Watercolor professionals have found Yupo to be receptive to a variety of aqueous techniques, but it is also ideal for offset printing, silkscreen, debossing, drawing, acrylic painting, and more.
Pigments applied to the Bright White sheet retain their true clarity and brilliance.
Yupo is pH-neutral, flawlessly smooth, and recyclable.
Because of the unique qualities of this paper, dirt and oils hinder its performance. We recommend removing spots and fingerprints with soap and water before use.
Handling Charge — When ordering sheets of paper or board larger than 18” x 24” in quantities of less than 10, a $3.00 per order handling fee applies. Paper or boards may be assorted to reach the quantity of 10.

Yupo, A very Disappointing Purchase.
Comments about Yupo Watercolor Paper:
I am aware of the many people who have raved over Yupo. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. After using it, I believe it is a much better match to any other medium than Watercolor. I found it not at all better than read watercolor paper. It couldn't be able to show the depth of color that using Lanaquerelle or some other paper that actually help bring the painting to life. Now, I am putting an ad in our neighborhood newsletter to see who may want it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My favorite media to work with
I've loved yupo paper since I first discovered it. Don't limit yourself though just because it has "watercolor paper" attached to the name. I have mainly only used acrylic paint and water for my paintings and it's unlike any other surface I've used. 100% awesome product.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It's a versatile product I've used with watercolors, alcohol ink and some collage materials. The results have been great.

Love the product, the price and the service!
from Sisters, Oregon
I use this product for watercolor and for alcohol ink. I ordered the sheets so I could have more flexibility in choosing sizes for my paintings rather than the limitations of the pads.

This is my 2nd. shipment of Yupo- I love it
By The Professor
This unusual drawing surface is intriguing. It calls for lots of experiments since it does not absorb paint the way paper does. The results are experimental but really exciting.

The only other type of plastic paper I know of is photo paper, and Yupo does respond far better. Yupo is quite unique in fact. I sometimes use watercolor paints and other times alcohol inks, and it's a total blast. So many ways to use it. And Blick pricing is so reasonable.
First time user of Yupo with alcohol ink...LOVE it!

It's non porous property allows me to manipulate the alcohol ink before it dries. It also allows the ink to be reactivated with pure alcohol.

I paint with alcohol Inks and Watercolors and teach both mediums. Dick Blick is my recommendation for where my students can order their paper.
