Yupo is a compelling and unique alternative to traditional art papers. It's a synthetic paper, machine-made in the USA of 100% polypropylene. It is waterproof, stain resistant, and extremely strong and durable.
This extraordinary, non-absorbent surface resists tearing and buckling and remains perfectly flat, eliminating the need for soaking, stretching, or taping.
Watercolor professionals have found Yupo to be receptive to a variety of aqueous techniques, but it is also ideal for offset printing, silkscreen, debossing, drawing, acrylic painting, and more.
Choose Bright White or Translucent sheets. Pigments applied to the Bright White sheet retain their true clarity and brilliance while the Translucent sheet allows for special layered effects and tracing.
Yupo is pH-neutral, flawlessly smooth, and recyclable.
Because of the unique qualities of this paper, dirt and oils hinder its performance. We recommend removing spots and fingerprints with soap and water before use.
Pads are tape bound on the short side.
Heavyweight Watercolor Paper Pads
The heavyweight, 144 lb (390 gsm) paper in Yupo Heavyweight Watercolor Pads is incredibly strong with a very smooth surface. Its heavier weight makes it more resistant to buckling and warping. Pads contain 10 sheets of paper.

Good quality product, great for practice
from Orlando, FL
This is a really good quality product and works well with my Polychromos and Museum Aquarelle pencils. Although I prefer to do much of my work on traditional watercolor paper, I enjoy that I can practice different techniques on this paper and can even correct errors with a kneaded eraser.
A Unique Painting Experience

Yupo is great for artist who use experimental techniques and want to work loose and free. You can achieve some amazing accidental effects with this surface. I got it to use with watercolor paints and to experiment with various techniques. Lots of fun to use!

Yupo paper for alcohol inks
from Ontario, CA
I have just started dabbling in alcohol inks as a hobby and although I cannot compare Yupo with any other surface material, I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and smoothness this paper provides for working with the inks. I've also used Indian ink for details on top of the alcohol inks. The colors stay bright when the ink dries and I'll keep using this paper.

If you've never used Yupo, you owe it to yourself to try it.
I use Yupo with alcohol inks and Distress Paints and Stains and just love how they react with the synthetic paper. Such fun to play around with!

Using this paper to explore alcohol inks. It's non porous surface creates a slick surface that allows the ink and alcohol to roll around the page, in some cases you campb even wipe off.

It might be me...
By Bailey B
I assumed that I could use this as a Watercolor paper and i was wrong. It is very slick and my paint didn't want to stay on it. It does not absorb like normal paper. Also when I tried to add colored oencil over it and then blend and shade it would rub off. Like my title says I might be doing something wrong. It is a very lovely bright white and when you send it through the printer it is awesome, but I can't seem to apply my mediums very well. I'm going to stick with a Bristol or a cold press Watercolor paper.

Yupo papers are unique and just plain fun.
from Mountain View, Arkansas
Introduced Yupo to the students in an abstract acrylic class... yes, this is watercolor paper but I chose to experiment using acrylic high flow paints. The class was a blast. I chose translucent Yupo because I've never used it... but I certainly will again.
