Yupo is a compelling and unique alternative to traditional art papers. It's a synthetic paper, machine-made in the USA of 100% polypropylene. It is waterproof, stain resistant, and extremely strong and durable.
This extraordinary, non-absorbent surface resists tearing and buckling and remains perfectly flat, eliminating the need for soaking, stretching, or taping.
Watercolor professionals have found Yupo to be receptive to a variety of aqueous techniques, but it is also ideal for offset printing, silkscreen, debossing, drawing, acrylic painting, and more.
Choose Bright White or Translucent sheets. Pigments applied to the Bright White sheet retain their true clarity and brilliance while the Translucent sheet allows for special layered effects and tracing.
Yupo is pH-neutral, flawlessly smooth, and recyclable.
Because of the unique qualities of this paper, dirt and oils hinder its performance. We recommend removing spots and fingerprints with soap and water before use.
Pads are tape bound on the short side.
Heavyweight Watercolor Paper Pads
The heavyweight, 144 lb (390 gsm) paper in Yupo Heavyweight Watercolor Pads is incredibly strong with a very smooth surface. Its heavier weight makes it more resistant to buckling and warping. Pads contain 10 sheets of paper.

Love the heavy
from Rapid City SD
Comments about Yupo Watercolor Paper Pads:
Really was a good price getting a little harder to find. Heavy is easier to work with when you are working the paint.

Exciting surface for special effects
from Orlando, FL
If you enjoy lifting and the spontaneous effects of watercolor, and don't have much use for glazing or layering, this is a great surface to work on. Especially well suited for abstract work, it nevertheless allows for precise realism as well due to the freedom with which you can lift and move color around.
I love to paint on Yupo!

This is an interesting Yupo Paper. It is a heavy version of Yupo, which I truly didn't know existed. I really like it a lot! I can apply paint with a brush from my palette, or pour it from a bottle. Either way, the strength of this paper holds the paint very well. Will I buy it again . . . You bet I will . . .

Yupo is wonderful for watercolor landscapes!
from Addy, WA
I mainly use Yupo for watercolor landscapes with Daniel Smith Primatek mineral paints - Yupo allows for lovely granulation/puddling of colors, fine details, even dry brushing, if you're careful! Paint won't penetrate the surface, which allows for great manipulation of the paint through tilting, blowing, or additional brushstrokes. Lifting color is easy - you can remove mistakes with water or simple blotting! Staining pigments may not lift completely, but you can still blot or wash them out with clean water. Special techniques like applying table salt work well, as does use of masking fluid. Yupo won't ever buckle, no matter how much water you use, and both medium and heavy Yupo papers remain flat during painting. I find Yupo easier to paint on than the new mineral paper.
I would buy this product again
