Nori Paste is an excellent paper glue. Use it for collage, egg craft, card making and scrapbooking. It adheres paper to glass, plastic, and metal and is slow to dry so you can easily reposition.
Nori Paste dries clear, won’t stain paper, and washes off easily. The plastic squeeze bottle has a snap-on lid with a flat tip for easy application. The glass jar is great for refills.

Versatile Glue is Wonderful
from Boise, ID
Comments about Yasutomo Nori Paste:
This is great for chine colle and for gluing thin translucent papers to other paper surfaces. I sometimes mix with PVA and a bit of water for bookbinding.

I found that the best use for this product is pasting cardstock to cardstock. Anything lighter risked getting stained or, in the case of thin paper leaving ridges on the surface. Glides on really easily, Found that cutting off strap to the cap allowed me to see what I was doing better while I was working.

We use this product later in the school year with preschool age children. By this time their skills have increased, their small motor skills are ready for a different kind of experience. It's great stuff, doesn't over load our sensory kids and staff feel good about using such a great product.
Love this stuff!

I love Nori paste! It works like a charm. What excites me most about it is the fact that it leaves paper looking like paper! No glossy sheen, or even the normal "matte" look. It literally dries as if it's not there at all. 99% of the time, it doesn't darken or alter the paper in any way. I had an issue one time in the many years I've used it, and I think it was from completely over-saturating the paper and rubbing it in with my fingers way too much. And even then, it was only on a small area. (I write this in response to another reviewer)I love to make paper mache projects that I paint with watercolors after molding. The Nori paste seals the watercolors and leaves the surface of the paper mache exactly as it was naturally. I think Nori might also be good as a base coat for sealing before coating in a stronger poly coat or even resin, to keep those products from seeping in and darkening. And of course, fresh Nori paste has a lovely, subtly sweet scent that I adore. ;)

I used this product for paper collage and found it disappointing. I DID get STAINING even though the claim is that the product is non-staining. I also got lots of WRINKLES and some failure to adhere. I'm surprised by all the positive reviews.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Nori Paste Best for Chine Colle!
from Springdale, Arkansas
I use Nori Paste for chine colle in printmaking. All the paper that I have ever attempted to use for the chine colle process has been successfully, seamlessly, and beautifully applied with Nori Paste. This product is good even for those slightly messy attempts because the glue truly dries clear, and doesn't leave marks if it runs.
