I use this sharpener with young children. They love having a brand new crayon and when this product is used that's exactly what happens...like new point on your crayon.
This sharpener is easy to use and clean.

The only problem is when point of a crayon breaks deep inside, but it only takes a few seconds to clean it out.

I have recommended this item to all my friends.

I purchased the hand held sharpeners to be used by students in my elementary art classroom. They are unusable! The crayons just break and clog up the opening. I am tired of digging them out and will be getting rid of them!

We have had this battery operated crayon sharpener for a year. I have 3 kids who use it all the time. It works perfectly!!!! The crayons come out looking brand new. Occasionally a tip will break off but we get it out of the blades easily with the tip of a pencil. If it doesn't have fresh batteries it won't sharpen properly. We use rechargeable batteries and they last 3-4 weeks between charges with the sharpener being used daily.

I purchased this hoping to give those crayons new life...this thing did not last 5 minutes. The first crayola regular crayon barely sharpened with the plastic blade and the second crayon broke due to the lack of spinning power of the plastic blade so the crayon tip broke and lodged within the housing.
Very poor quality, not enough power to get job done and had to throw it away
