For students, amateur painters, and professional artists using high volumes of color, Winton Oil Color is the ultimate high-quality yet economical oil paint.
Winton brings together the best of Winsor & Newton paint-making tradition with modern technology. Rather than lessening the pigment content to create a more affordable paint, Winton Oils are formulated using moderately priced pigments that still possess good covering power and tinting strength — including genuine, excellent-quality cadmiums and cobalts. While Winton Oils can't match the superior pigment load of Winsor & Newton Professional Oils, they are still much stronger than the artist-quality lines of many other brands.
Winton Oils are offered in a range of 48 colors, and every color is individually formulated to bring out the best natural characteristics of the pigment. These paints have a more uniform consistency than Winsor & Newton Professional Oils and are slightly stiffer, offering excellent retention of brush strokes and knife marks. The gloss level varies from color to color, but again they have a more uniform sheen across the range as compared to the Professional line.
All colors are either AA or A rated and are recommended as permanent for artists' use.
Winton Soft Painting Whites
The whites in the Winton line offer a range of opacities and working characteristics. Titanium White is the whitest, most opaque white and also the most popular. Zinc White is the least opaque white and is ideal for tints and glazing. Soft Mixing White is a soft, non-sticky blend of Titanium White and Zinc White that retains brushstrokes and is resistant to yellowing.
Shipping Note — Due to manufacturer distribution restrictions, Winsor & Newton products cannot be shipped to addresses outside of North America.

They lasted a particularly long time for the amount that was in the tube! I was also very pleased with the colors! The only problem is that I sometimes have a hard time opening the large tubes

We use these oil colors in our painting classes for adults (beginners and intermediate-level painters). They have a nice texture, blend well, etc. Colors are good, and they're an economical alternative to more saturated pigments. We're very happy with these paints.
from Orlando, FL
For the cost conscious artist, these are probably the best quality paints you can buy without going broke.

Great for all kinds of work
from Seattle, Washington
W&N Winton Oil Paints are awesome. I paint on very large scale and they really do everything I want and need from my paints. Their 200ml tubes are the pretty much best value from my experience. I thin them down with Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil and achieve a wide range of effects. People talk about "student" grade paints being full of fillers but they do everything a talented artist needs without breaking the bank. The colors are true and the consistency is just fine. If you're work is good, it's good and speaks for itself. People get too caught up in buying "the best" of this or that and their artwork sucks. Winton paints are great. Invest your money in brushes.

I'm a college art student and this paint was recommended to me by one of my professors. It applies very smoothly and allows for great blending.
Great value for oil paints

I can count on these paints for good quality and at a reasonable price. Good consistency and they flow off the brushes.
Great product for the price!
Great value, a must have if you use a lot of paint. I buy this when I teach workshops, the consistancy and color are very good and the price is right.
