Simply the Best
from Nevada City, CA
Comments about Winsor & Newton Series 7 Kolinsky Sable Pointed Round:
Winsor & Newton Series 7 brushes are simply the best brushes for watercolor. Pricey, but worth it in the long run if you take care of them. All the other brush brands I've tried just don't compare.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Its the best quality
It s the best of its category, for painting in special and hard work really the best.
This brush just paints like no other, it needs a lot of water to point properly but responds beautifully once loaded with water/paint. It handles a wide variety of brush techniques to give many different effects. I love these brushes and would recommend them to anyone who is seriously investing in sable, they are that much better than anything I've tried.

This bush has a fine point that easily moves to a wider stroke and back to a fine point. Holds ink nicely.
Perfect to botanical painting!

I had been using Loew-Cornell Ultra Round Brushes for detail and miniature watercolor paintings (< 25 sq in) until I heard of W & N series 7. They allow me to be precise and include details that would not be possible to paint with any other brushes. As far as durability, I still cannot make a statement, since I am using them for a short time. Series 7 is a "must" to all botanic artists!
Have been buying this paintbrush for at least 30 years!

This brush is as solid as it gets. I use the series seven brushes for inking. This series holds it tip very well.
Great quality but having adjustment issues
from Mystic, CT
These brushes were highly recommended to me and are a great quality brush, so I'm hoping I'm just having an adjustment issue. I got a few different size round brushes. They have a nice long bristle area and hold a lot of water. They are made really well.
Best of the rest

I have tried many other brands but always come back to Windsor & Newton. They, in my opinion, are well worth the price.
