Unrivalled in brilliance, Winsor & Newton Professional Acrylics are made with the highest quality, maximum-strength pigments to ensure clean, strong colors with wonderful working properties. Their revolutionary transparent binder virtually eliminates color shift from wet to dry, eliminating guesswork and letting acrylic painters make the most of spontaneous, direct painting techniques.
Brilliance (defined as the richness, intensity, and depth of a color) is possibly the most important quality to look for in an acrylic paint. Winsor & Newton Professional Acrylics are unsurpassed in this regard. This becomes evident when you apply these colors straight from tube to canvas, as well when executing thin films and glazes. Even the earth tones, blacks, and whites are clean and never dull.
Each individual color In the Professional Acrylic line uses the maximum amount of pigment possible — without extenders — to produce a brilliant paint with the broadest handling properties and outstanding color-mixing capabilities.
Winsor & Newton's expertise in resin technology has resulted in a unique binder that is translucent when wet and dries clear — ensuring virtually no shift in color, and colors that remain as brilliant when dry as they are when wet. The result is a range that allows artists to match colors more easily from palette to canvas and see a painting as it will actually look when finished.
Tubes are available in 60 ml and 200 ml sizes. 237 ml jars are also available.

WN Pro Acrylic Renaissance Gold
from Bethesda md
Comments about Winsor & Newton Artists' Acrylics:
I just used an older tube of WN Pro Acrylic (labeled as Series 3)in Renaissance Gold and it is still as if new. And the color itself looks like a beautiful ribbon of gold. This tube is probably 10 years old and it's still paints and performs like brand new. I painted an edge on some cardstock and I couldn't believe how smooth and rich it looked. I forgot hoe beautiful this color is and WN is the best.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

No colour shift takes paint to a new level
from North Vancouver, bc
I'm a professional painter and this is the best acrylic available. The usual acrylic paint darkens as it dries- these paints do not, which is a major achievement. I've switched from my previous choice of artist quality acrylics to these. W & N quality is the standard of quality in paints and these deserve to be more widely available. Good prices here!

Winsor Newton are my go to paints. I love them!

I usually use Golden Fluid acrylics, but WN had a pigment I wanted - Azo Yellow Deep (PY65) - to complete a limited palette I wanted to worth with that includes anthraquinone blue, anthraquinone red (Graham has it), raw umber, benzidine orange (PO13 Red Orange from Holbein), and yellow ochre. First, this is the perfect yellow for these pigments. It looks horrific (schoolbus yellow) until you start working with it. It makes a fabulous glowing gold in a glaze and good greens with anthraquinone blue. I didn't realize I was getting the big tube, but that's fine, because it also makes a good ground if you are going to paint over with cool tones. It is buttery and dissolves well in a bit dip of water to which Flow Aid has been added. I will keep my eye out for other WN tube colors when they go on sale. I highly recommend the anthraquinone palette I've described if you paint night scenes or stormy skies of if you just want a moodier alternative to an ultramarine blue palette.
Need bigger tubes of paint
I love these open paints... I had to change to acrylics after oils, and i dry out too fast. Nice these paints make my painting fun again

Winsor Newton quality and reliability

Winsor Newton has never failed me. I mostly paint in oils, but needed some acrylic for a recent project. Very pleased.

Consistency is thicker than other brands. I like the liquin additive that makes it looser and shines.
Can't go wrong with Winsor and Newton!

This brand of paint doesn't need my endorsement. Artists know, already, the good quality of Winsor and Newton. It's a little pricey but I've found some colors I love that I can't get anywhere else.
