Winsor & Newton Galeria Acrylic Color is a high-quality acrylic that delivers professional results, ideal for artists who want good-quality color at an affordable price. The 59 colors in the Galeria range offer a wide spectrum of pigment characteristics to choose from as well as excellent brilliance of color, strong brushstroke retention, clean color-mixing and high performance. Galeria has a smooth, free-flowing consistency, making it easy for the artist to use and mix, while maintaining its body and retaining brush marks.

They brush straight from the tube or pot, making them accessible to beginners. The adhesive qualities and quick drying nature of these acrylics, overpainting is possible within 20 minutes.

Use Galeria Acrylic Colors on many surfaces, including paper, canvas, degreased leather, fabrics, masonite, wood, brickwork, and plaster.

They are not recommended for use on shiny, glossy, greasy surfaces such as glass, unprimed metal, or surfaces painted with oil colors.

Galeria paints are formulated to be compatible with water, other Winsor & Newton acrylic colors, and Winsor & Newton Watercolor Mediums. All colors conform to the European Toy Safety Standard EN71/3.

When diluted, they are suitable for a wide variety of techniques, from stenciling, collage, sponging, and airbrushing, to painting on canvas. Colors are weather and water resistant once dry, making them ideal for use in sculpture and mural work.

Set of 6 Tubes — This set of six 60 ml tubes contains one each of Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cadmium Red Hue, Winsor Blue, Phthalo Green, Burnt Umber, and Titanium White.

Set of 10 Tubes — This set of 10, 60 ml tubes contains one each of Burnt Sienna, Cadmium Red Hue, Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue, Crimson, Mars Black, Phthalo Green, Raw Umber, Titanium White, Winsor Blue, and Yellow Ochre.

I've used W&N watercolor paints and love them, so when I decided to learn how to use acrylics, it was a no brainer! Now that I have painted with the Galeria acrylics, I am well pleased by their vibrancy, ease of use and mixability. Even my painting instructor uses these, exclusively!

I like the consistancy and vibrant colors available in Galeria. From use as a lovely watercolor to impasto, it works well. Winsor and Newton make Galeria available at a reasonable price. I use Masterson cups to store workable quantities inside a plastic tray so I can take it to class without a heavy weight problem.

I started using these paints exclusively about a year or so ago as I was getting heavy into acrylic painting. I can only speak from a watercolor POV, but in that field these paints are absolutely fantastic. They retain a strong sense of color density even when diluted.

The color mixing properties of these paints is also impeccable. W/ some knowledge on how they work and colors in general, you can replicate a vast amount of colors using only a few of the strong primaries in the line, such as Cadmium Red, Crimson and Cerulean Blue Hue. Their Mixing White is also fantastic for mixing in colors w/o taking away their vibrancy or density.

The only problem I have w/ their paints is how the black paints behave in mixes of moderately heavy water. Even if you mix them w/ Mixing or Titanium White, the black paint will begin to break away from the mixture after a little while w/o needing to be stirred up again to bring back the color you were trying to mix. This problem only occurs w/ Ivory and Mars Black, either when they are mixed w/ nothing or w/ either of the whites (Titanium White in particular). Also, this problem is only noticeable in mixes w/ heavy or moderately heavy water dilution (for all I know, it could be the exact same case as w/ those colors in pure watercolor paints too).

Affordable, easy to begin using and hold up very well to advanced techniques; that best describes these fantastic W&N Galeria paints. Get some today!

The pigment in this paint makes it a solid value as it can be mixed and cut to a point beyond the average resulting in great coverage and spreadability. This paint will produce great color and depth beyond what cheaper paints can yet keep those qualities when spread thin. A great value dollar for dollar.
