These were inexpensive and I felt that Winsor/Newton would be a decent quality. The canvases are gessoed with some strange stuff that my oily under-washes actually don't stick to! I have to re-gesso them to get a good usable surface. Also, some of the smaller ones are poorly stretched, have wrinkles or pouches. Surprisingly poor, though useable. They do have a rather deep edge and stapled on the back, but the stretching job is so poor that I don't think I'd show these without a frame. I don't think I'll buy any more, though I'll use the ones I have now.

On my first order, the price advantage over the local art supply store was about $1.00 per canvas, if I bought 6. Blick has raised its price since then, and the current difference has shrunk to about 17 cents.

High quality canvas at a great price point. I use the canvas with my acrylics, and will be using them for class projects. The price point allows me to keep my class fees down, as well as my prices for finished pieces.

I use the 6x6 inch for my paintings and my customers love them! I really like that you can paint the edges, hang it on the wall and have it almost be a sculpture coming out of the wall. They are a very good deal. Just slightly more shallow than the museum deep profile and a lot cheaper.
